Felted Fleece Rug – Mule Sheep with Unique Black Spot

This one-of-a-kind felted fleece rug is crafted from the wool of a commercially bred mule sheep – a hardy crossbreed typically raised for breeding purposes. While mule wool is not as luxurious as some specialty breeds, it offers durability, softness, and a comforting texture.

What makes this particular rug truly stand out is its striking natural feature: a distinctive round spot of black wool right in the centre. A rare and eye-catching detail, this adds charm and individuality to the piece.

Measuring approximately 35" x 22" the rug is medium in weight and pleasantly soft underfoot. Its structure is stable, and it does not shed fibres, making it ideal for light daily use.

Though lovely, this rug is priced a little lower than others in our collection, as it doesn’t fully meet our highest standard for finish – but it still offers warmth, character, and natural beauty.

Please note: as this product is made from the fleece of a commercially bred sheep, it may not be suitable for those following a strict plant-based or vegan lifestyle.

These rugs have previously been popular with yoga practitioners, thanks to their grounding feel and natural texture – making it a great option for use in gentle exercise, meditation, or simply as a cosy home accent.
